What PokerTracker 4 Users Are Talking About
If you're not using
PokerTracker 4, you should check it out. The program provides detailed statistics for your play on major online poker sites, allowing you to pinpoint your leaks and discover where you're strong and where you're weak. You can also check out the stats of your opponents. It's invaluable for any serious or amateur player.
The
forums on PokerTracker's website are bustling with users asking questions and making suggestions, so we thought it'd be worth it to see what players were talking about.
One user, for example, asked about the best way to find where you are losing EV in hyper heads-up sit and gos. Another PokerTracker 4 user responded, "The easiest is going to be creating a new hand report and adding the My Currency ICM Equity Adjusted Diff stat to it - that's the difference between expected and actual ICM from the hand. Then sort by that value (by clicking the column header) and replay the hands in that order." It's that easy.
Another user asked about stats displayed on the table, with a representative of PokerTracker responding, "You can create a group to display in the
HUD as Table Averages and if you add the Live Amt Stack stat it will display stack size as a table average."
Along with various bug reports that PT staff were able to address, one user asked about moving his 50 GB PostgreSQL database to an external drive. That post generated numerous responses, including one from PokerTracker that said, "After making a backup and removing PostgreSQL, installing PostgreSQL on the external disk and restoring should suffice to give you the majority of the speed gains you get from having things on an external drive. Definitely make your backup before doing anything though."
If you're having any issues with PokerTracker, the site's forums are an excellent place to report them. Take one user who reported that his HUD wasn't working at Rush Poker tables. Site support responded, "Please restart PT4 using the logging enabled link on your Start Menu, reproduce this problem, and then report it via our support system with the log file. That will help us figure out what is going on here and get it fixed for you. You can find that file by clicking File --> Show User Data Folder in the main PT4 window. The file we need is the text file called PokerTracker4 that is in that folder."
PokerTracker has a free 30-day trial. After that, it costs $99.99 for the Full Version, $59.99 for the Small-Stakes Version, $159.99 for the Hold'em and Omaha Full Version, and $99.99 for the Hold'em and Omaha Small-Stakes Version.
